Longtime Philadelphia Firefighter Dies After Two-Year Cancer Battle

A longtime member of the Philadelphia Fire Department has died after a two-year battle with cancer, his obituary says.

Kenneth Enright, a 16-year veteran of the Philadelphia Fire Department, died while off-duty on Thursday, March 31, officials announced on Facebook.

The 40-year-old firefighter was recently assigned to Engine 18 in Northeast Philadelphia, the department said. He also was a 4-year veteran of the United States Air Force, according to his obit.

Enright's obituary remembered him as "an avid movie connoisseur, always finding joy in the craft and art of film making."

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 12 at John F. Givnish Funeral Home at on Academy Road in Philadelphia.
